The Organizing Committee invites researchers, spine surgeons, orthopaedic surgeons, neurosurgeons,
fellows, residents, and postgraduate students to submit abstracts for presentation at the
Bangalore Spine Summit 2026.

Abstract Guidelines
- Abstract must be submitted in English.
- Maximum 300 words (excluding title and author details).
Use structured headings
- Introduction
- Objectives
- Methods
- Results
- Conclusion
- Do not include tables, graphs, or images.
- Use standard abbreviations only.
- Mention all authors in the correct order.
- The presenting author must be registered for the conference.
- Each author may submit multiple abstracts; however, only one presentation per abstract is
permitted.
- Originality: submitted work must be original and not previously published or presented at a
major national or international conference.
- Blinding for review: ensure the abstract body, video audio/visuals, and PPT slides do not
contain author names or hospital affiliations to maintain a double-blind peer-review.
- Patient privacy: all clinical videos, imaging, and case discussions must strictly conceal
patient identities. Appropriate informed consent must be obtained for any recognizable
clinical media prior to submission.
- Full manuscript submission is mandatory for consideration of the BSS Award paper. Submission
as per ISJ (Indian Spine Journal) guidelines.
Free Paper Video Presentation — Technical Specs
- 6-minute videos, complete with the message to be conveyed.
- Can cover a new surgical technique or any interesting operative steps.
- Videos must highlight routine or innovative procedures, newer techniques, or even patient
examination.
- Videos will be reviewed by the reviewers; the 10 best videos will be selected for
presentation in the open theatre session.
- File format: .mp4
- Maximum duration: 6 minutes
- 16:9 widescreen aspect ratio preferred — edit in your camera's native format if possible;
4:3 is acceptable, but do not "stretch" the video.
- Maximum video size allowed as an abstract: 500 MB
Case Based Discussion Guidelines
- Must use the official conference 16:9 template, capped at exactly 8 slides (including title
and conclusion).
- The presenter will be a young surgeon of the team (age < 35 years); a senior member may
be present for guidance.
- Case duration: a total of 8 minutes is allotted for each case.

Additional Notes
✓ Free paper presentations and case-based discussions will be held along with
each session based on the subspecialty topics, not as separate sessions.
✓ A golden opportunity for young surgeons to share the stage with faculty.
✓ Registration is mandatory to present the paper during the conference.
